Disney Branded Television (DBT) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director, Content & Inclusion to champion inclusive storytelling and ensure that DBT content not only entertains but also connects meaningfully with global audiences.
As a strategic leader reporting to the VP, Content & Inclusion, this Director will define and execute initiatives to champion culturally authentic narratives. They will forge strong collaborations with creative stakeholders and external partners, while leading impactful programs and building strategic alliances internally and externally.
This role includes mentoring team members to empower them to deliver on DBT's commitment to inclusive storytelling. By driving these efforts, the Director will significantly expand the Content & Inclusion team's reach and impact within DBT, The Walt Disney Company, and the industry, directly contributing to DBT's future vision.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key advisor to DBT creative executives and producers, providing cultural insights and creative feedback to enhance authentic representation.
- Oversee cultural consultants, ensuring their expertise strengthens character development and storytelling authenticity.
- Working closely with the Vice President, guide creative teams in developing multidimensional, culturally nuanced characters.
- Collaborate with internal and external inclusion leaders to reinforce DBT’s position as an industry leader in inclusive storytelling.
- Partner with Enterprise Social Responsibility to align community engagement efforts with broader company objectives.
- Design and facilitate workshops, seminars, and learning experiences to equip DBT teams with cultural competency and best practices.
- Develop and produce events with third-party organizations, integrating external expertise into DBT’s creative processes.
- Track and analyze key metrics, providing data-driven insights to refine strategies and measure progress.
- Align goals with Disney Branded Television and enterprise-wide inclusion strategies to maximize impact.
- Manage consultant engagements and content review processes to enhance efficiency and execution.
- 8+ years of experience in media, entertainment, or a related creative industry.
- Proven leadership in content and inclusion initiatives within a creative environment.
- Expertise in inclusive storytelling and best practices for authentic representation.
- Strong ability to influence creative teams and manage multiple strategic initiatives.
- Experience balancing deadlines, constraints, and stakeholder needs.
- Deep knowledge of industry trends and challenges related to inclusion.
- Established network within the creative community, including relationships with talent and industry organizations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to drive collaboration across teams.
- Strong analytical skills to assess content and provide constructive creative feedback.
- Experience leading teams, mentoring professionals, and cultivating leadership growth through kindness and empathy.
- Deep knowledge of animation and the creative process
- BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience.
