Position: Staffing Coordinator

Facility: Breezy Hills Rehabilitation and Care Center

Location: Lakeland, Florida

Shift: Full-Time, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay Rate: Up to $27 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator to join our team at Breezy Hills Rehabilitation and Care Center. In this role, you'll be a key player in maintaining smooth operations by managing staff schedules and ensuring proper coverage within the nursing department.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a current listing of all resident care employee phone numbers.
• Update Business Office with the contact information for department managers.
• Track daily tardiness and absenteeism; report issues to the Director of Nursing Services (DON).
• Collaborate with HR and the DON to schedule modified work duty employees per policy.
• Help staff accurately complete leave requests, time cards, and related forms.
• Coordinate and complete monthly nursing schedules based on staff requests and facility needs.
• Post schedules and coordinate any changes with the DON.
• Assist nursing supervisors with staffing needs and answer related employee calls.
• Provide new hires with ID cards, time cards, and initial schedules before orientation.
• Maintain records for certifications and licenses for nursing staff.
• Step in for the Unit Secretary during absences.
• Prepare written reports and recommendations for the DON regarding staffing concerns.
• Address grievances and complaints related to staffing and scheduling.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a staffing coordinator in a nursing facility
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
