Post-Graduate Year 1 Pharmacy Residency Program

Asante's PGY1 Residency Program provides broad experiences including pharmacokinetics, antimicrobial stewardship, anticoagulation, cardiology, oncology, internal medicine, critical care, pediatrics/NICU, infusion services, diabetes education, nutrition support, practice management, medication safety, informatics, and rural hospital. Residents have the opportunity to teach at the university level while earning a teaching certificate. All Residents act as preceptors for pharmacy students, participate in P&T committee, write for the pharmacy bulletin, present continuing education to pharmacy professionals, and participate in community service. Residents complete a major project and may present a poster at Midyear or at the Northwestern States Conference.

- PhORCAS application including: Letter of intent; Individual Assessment for Residency Training; Pharmacy education official transcripts; Three references, may use the standard PhORCAS format, an additional letter is optional.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- PharmD or Doctor of Pharmacy
- Registered Pharmacy Intern by he Oregon Board of Pharmacy
- BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by the American Heart Association (AHA)
