Job Summary

The Data Analyst will support cross-functional teams—including Accounting/Finance, Operations, and IT/Development—by developing and maintaining key reports and dashboards, primarily using Excel and business intelligence tools. This role will focus on transforming raw data into clear, actionable insights to help drive operational performance and strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Excel, comfortable navigating and pulling data from BI tools, and able to collaborate with technical and non-technical team members. While not required, experience with SQL and BI tool setup or customization will be considered a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports and dashboards using Excel and BI tools.
  • Analyze data trends, summarize findings, and present insights to stakeholders.
  • Retrieve and organize data from various sources, including spreadsheets, exports, and dashboards.
  • Manage surveys and reporting on responses, including distribution, collection, and analysis of results.
  • Collaborate with business units to define reporting needs and deliver meaningful, user-friendly outputs.
  • Perform basic data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Document report logic and processes for repeatability.
  • Proactively identify ways to streamline reporting and enhance data visibility.
  • Provide data-driven support for internal projects and business planning.
  • Occasionally travel (1-2 times per year) for team meetings or client events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Experience

  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, lookups, conditional formatting, linked workbooks, and data cleaning techniques.
  • Experience working with business intelligence (BI) tools (such as Sisense, Power BI, or Tableau) to extract and interpret data.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with writing basic to intermediate SQL queries.
  • Experience with BI tool architecture, data modeling, or dashboard design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a data-focused or reporting role.
