Job Summary:

The IT Program Management Director leads strategic technology programs and ensures alignment with business goals. This role oversees a team of program and project managers, manages the program portfolio, and ensures the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives on time, within scope, and within budget. The director plays a key role in IT governance, risk management, and continuous improvement. In addition, this role is also responsible to drive data analytics and key metrics tracking to ensure value realization and value capture.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Direct an overall portfolio of large-scale, complex IT projects often involving multiple internal and external constituents and matrix partners.
  • Lead all phases of the functional/technical execution of strategic IT projects from planning to post go-live, ensuring the accomplishment of desired scope, timeline, quality, and budget.
  • Create processes and tools to drive disciplined execution of value creation and tracking processes; ensure end results are of the highest quality with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit.
  • Rigorously drive scope and align with key stakeholder to ensure commitments are prioritized and deliverables are achieved within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Provide bridge between business and data analytics for Return on Investment analysis and metric tracking.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders on different aspects of assigned initiatives.
  • Drive data analytics and key metrics tracking to ensure value realization and capture.
  • Facilitate steering committee discussion across core IT functions.
  • Develop project communication plans and interface with stakeholders to execute on responsibilities.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of program and project managers.

Job Related Qualifications / Skills:

Formal Education & Certification

  • Minimum required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or Finance.
  • Preferred: Advanced Master's degree / MBA.

Knowledge & Experience

  • 10+ years of industry experience in information management or process improvement in progressively advancing roles.
  • 5+ years’ experience in technology initiatives to improve IT processes
  • 5+ years’ experience with cross functional business projects delivering on key company strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision, both written and verbally.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Demonstrate stakeholder management experience, with the ability to communicate effectively and to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and staff at all levels of the company, by quickly gaining their trust.
  • Work under tight deadlines, be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously and the ability to work independently with little supervision.
