This role offers the opportunity to influence workplace safety culture, enhance compliance, and contribute to the well-being of employees and community members alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead root cause analyses and assist in incident reviews for high-priority safety events
- Conduct job hazard assessments and on-site safety evaluations
- Collaborate with local teams to identify unique safety risks and improvement opportunities
- Research and implement proactive methods to minimize injuries and incidents
- Analyze incident data to spot trends and assist in creating preventive strategies
- Support the creation and delivery of safety training on topics such as:
- Workplace ergonomics
- Resident and employee safety
- Driver and fleet safety programs
- OSHA regulations
- Respiratory safety and fit testing
- Company policies and compliance best practices
- Track and report safety metrics and assist in the use of internal tools and systems
- Partner with site teams during audits and inspections to promote safety and compliance
- Provide guidance on regulations, documentation, and safety reporting requirements
- Create content for safety committee meetings and internal communications to promote engagement
- Assist in developing and managing community-level safety programs and performance tracking
- Maintain records for compliance documentation, such as:
- Safety committee minutes
- Inspection checklists
- Emergency drills
- OSHA-required forms and reports
- Ad hoc safety-related projects
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, risk management, or a related field
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Clean driving record per vehicle safety standards
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ASP, CSP, ARM) preferred
- This is a field-based role with potential travel to multiple sites
- Reports to a central safety leader and collaborates with local site managers
