As the Director, Learning and Development, you'll be responsible for shaping and leading the enterprise-wide learning strategy to support talent growth and organizational effectiveness. You'll provide strategic oversight of all learning initiatives, ensure they are aligned with business priorities and drive measurable impact. In this role, you'll lead a team of learning and development professionals and collaborate closely with senior leadership to integrate learning into the fabric of the organization. You'll be accountable for architecting the end-to-end learning journey for every team member, fostering a culture where continuous growth is not occasional, but embedded in everyday work.
Key Responsibilities
Starting pay range: $151,500 - $206,500. Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance and an annual equity grant in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.

You'll be accountable for architecting the end-to-end learning journey for every team member, fostering a culture where continuous growth is not occasional, but embedded in everyday work.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the long-term vision for learning and development across the organization, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and workforce planning needs.
- Guide the design and execution of leadership development frameworks to accelerate team member growth and build a strong pipeline of future leaders across all levels.
- Oversee the development and execution of enterprise-wide learning initiatives that promote agility, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration. Lead programs such as executive coaching, high-potential development tracks, DEI learning initiatives, and technical skill-building.
- Establish governance structures, policies, and standards to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability of learning programs across the organization.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, offering strategic insights and recommendations on talent development, change readiness, and cultivating a learning-centric culture.
- Provide strategic direction for the use of learning technologies, platforms, and data analytics to enhance learner experience and impact.
- Champion the use of data to evaluate learning effectiveness, track adoption and engagement, and demonstrate business value through performance improvement and ROI metrics.
- Develop and manage the L&D budget, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources to maximize impact.
- Serve as the executive sponsor for Casey’s Resource Groups, supporting inclusion and belonging across the organization.
- Responsible for hiring, training, salary administration, performance management, coaching and corrective actions for direct reports. Responsible for collaborating with team members on career development and goal setting. Act as a champion of a committed and empowering culture, working with direct reports and team members on modeling Casey’s values.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or related field.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in learning and development.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-wide learning strategies in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Visionary leadership with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Deep understanding of adult learning theory, organizational development, and change management.
- Proficiency in leveraging learning technologies and data analytics.
- Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and drive cultural transformation.
