Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineers (EIT) will be expected to participate in the design of a wide variety of mechanical systems and

machinery for a range of industrial processes. These industries include: food processing, wood products, mining and

more. This position will also require project management, leadership, and organization skills. Mechanical EITs are

expected to work closely with other engineering disciplines to accommodate all project needs. This position reports to

the Mechanical Engineering Department Manager.

General Responsibilities

• Perform routine technical work in accordance with prescribed techniques and procedures
• Use design software and drawing tools to accurately render and communicate designs
• Prepare designs, drawings and visual aids using standard computations and analysis
• Create, maintain, and organize information related to projects and project management
• Provide support to project managers as needed
• Assist with client, vendor, and other official contact communication
• Attend and participate in all required company meetings
• Communicate and collaborate with all company employees effectively
• Operate on a daily basis under high standards of professional and ethical considerations
  
  

Required Education And Experience

• B.S. Mechanical Engineering
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Certification
• Working knowledge of systems and processes
  
  

Preferred Education And Experience

• Design/analysis experience with pumps, piping, HVAC systems, ducting, welding and mechanical components.
• Experience reviewing building plans and specifications
• Experience working in a consulting engineering
• Direct experience with a variety of 2D and 3D modeling software's
• Leadership experience

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
