Description

HR Onboarding Specialists are the main point of contact for all new hires. It is essential that an HR Onboarding Specialist creates a positive first impression, along with exhibiting the company culture. They are responsible for ensuring all new hires have access to pre-employment paperwork, assist with questions, create deadlines, communicate expectations for completion, and assist with various tasks related to the full orientation process.

Requirements

  • Communicate effectively with employees at various levels in the organization.
  • Maintain confidentiality via the security of the workstation and work area regarding the confidentiality of all data and systems.
  • Assist in developing and implementing onboarding strategies.
  • Extend employment offers and launch new hire onboarding packets.
  • Initiate background checks and drug screenings for every new hire.
  • Review background checks and drug screens and follow up as needed.
  • Follow up with new hires to ensure deadlines are met and missing items are updated prior to hire date.
  • Conduct new employee orientation.
  • Ensure all new hire workstations are set up and enlist Tech Support if necessary.
  • Create and distribute new hire welcome gifts.
  • Process new hire paperwork.
  • Distribute manuals, passwords, and guidelines, as needed.
  • Other duties deemed necessary.
