Weekend Shift schedule is Friday-Sunday, 6am-6:30pm. The shift incentive includes a 11.11% shift differential and 3 day workweek.

What you can expect as a Composite Technician at DAS Aviation:
As Composite technician repairs parts/components by means of "Wet Layup" and "Prepreg". Some repairs must be facilitated using a clean room and cured by means of an autoclave or controlled oven. Types of Composite bonding methods utilized in repair may consist of: Co-curing, Co-bonding, secondary bonding, metal bonding, with adhesives in liquid form, and film.

You Will Be ESSENTIAL To Many FUNCTIONS Including
- Capable to use close tolerance measuring tools (i.e., scales, micrometers, calipers, depth gages, etc.).
- Capable to use hand tools (i.e., drill motors, die grinders, rivet guns, fastener installation tools, etc.).
- Ability to perform alignment/assembly using jig, templates and fixtures.
- PPE must be used when cutting, grinding, blending, and sanding
- Extensive use of bagging materials
- Able to properly bag for a wide range of component shapes and styles.
- Capable of using a "Hot-Bonder" type machine cure procedure.
- Maintenance, cleaning and repair of shop facilities, equipment and tooling when required.
- Safely operate shop equipment such as: curing oven, autoclave, vacuum
- Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
