The position involves overseeing daily receiving and storage activities, implementing inventory control strategies, and ensuring accurate inventory cycle counting and reporting. The role requires coordinating scrap materials disposal and return authorizations, fostering cooperation across departments, and resolving inventory control issues to minimize operational impact. Regular communication through department meetings is essential, alongside collaboration with production line supervisors and Buyer/Planners to maintain effective KANBAN inventory levels.

Hourly compensation starts at $22.00. Monday through Friday starting at 8:00 a.m.

Responsibilities

  • Provides the daily coordination of all receiving and stores activities across the site.
  • Reviews and implements all company inventory control strategies and policies to assure consistent application across the site.
  • Performs inventory cycle counting and physical inventories as defined and provides reporting.
  • Ensures that all inventory transactions and stock status reports are completed on a timely basis.
  • Coordinates the disposition of all scrap materials and return authorizations at the site.
  • Cooperate with all departments to ensure a coordinated work relationship always exists.
  • Recognizes and takes steps to resolve inventory control problems to minimize the impact on operations.
  • Maintains consistent communication through department meetings.
  • Works with production line supervisors and Buyer/Planners to establish and maintain effective KANBAN inventory levels and replenishment procedures

Qualifications

  • High School or GED or equivalent combination of experience and education to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Three to five years in a high-volume warehouse manufacturing facility
  • Knowledge and ability to deploy APICS, Supply Chain Management and Lean Manufacturing concepts preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Software and Oracle or other operating systems as required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Forklift experience preferred.
