Job Summary/Purpose
- The Process Analyst will be responsible for supporting our contracts, daily work management process, and journey owners in meeting their analytical, decision-making, reporting, and metrics requirements.
- The successful candidate will serve as an expert with functional engineers to define scope and objectives of a wide variety of analytical projects including, but not limited to, contract execution, work management group reporting/analysis and construction metrics.
- This work involves discovering business narratives told by data, improving cost saving contracts, work management opportunities for improvement, and “selling” the case for change of proposed initiative to stakeholders and leadings.
- Track and measure implementation of contract and work management improvements.
- This is a career role suitable for recent graduates in engineering (e.g. industrial engineering, process engineering), business (finance), economics, data science, mathematics, or statistics with professional experience. A successful candidate will demonstrate aptitude and experience (professional, academic, or internships) analyzing data, identifying improvement opportunities, and developing or testing business cases.
- Assigned larger portions of project work to analyze the defined scope and objectives to execute contracts. May develop initial policy recommendations.
- Provides leadership with status updates for all contracts, associated work orders and budget updates.
- Provides leadership reports related to quality control and data consistency within their work management process.
- Develop business cases, financial models, and supporting documentation to articulate the case for change and expected benefits to leadership.
- Enhance, implement and effectively convey analyses results that reveal trends and opportunities for continuous improvement regarding daily activities and throughout the organization.
- Participate in frequent meetings reviewing and resolving changes to contracts and key activities to improve operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, business partners, colleagues, developers, and business analysts to deliver high quality value-adding solutions.
- Support Grid with creation and tracking of work orders for various projects.
- Serve as the primary liaison for all contract-related matters, collaborating with multiple departments to ensure seamless communication and resolution.
- Communicate results and conclusions in both written and oral presentation formats.
- Creating artifacts that adequately tell the business narrative and offer recommendations that are practiced, actionable, and have material impact, in addition to being well-supported by analytical models and data.
- Performs and leads quality control analysis to ensure accuracy and rationale.
- Works within the scope and framework of larger projects defined by functional managers but not limited to, work management analysis, contract and invoicing and other related operational activities.
- Maintain Access databases and create reports in PowerBI for all Grid Operations.
- Analyzes cost and schedule impacts of project scope changes and trends.
- Prepares and delivers presentations of numerical analysis.
- Prepares cash flow estimates in support of monthly present estimate processes
- Storm support for Entergy's Operations and Resources branches.
Minimum education required of the position.
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field required or equivalent work experience.
- Desired: Master's Degree.
- Analyst I: 0-2 years of professional experience.
- Analyst II: 2-4 years of professional experience.
- Analyst III: 4-6 years of professional experience
- Analytical skill set with advanced knowledge of: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI.
- Knowledge of MAXIMO and PowerPlan tools.
- Knowledge of distribution project valving, and criteria.
- Knowledge of project controls and utility business.
