PTMW, Inc. is a metal manufacturing company specializing in prefabricated enclosures including signal and communication enclosures, substations, compressors, generators, and battery storage. We are looking for qualified candidates to join our design team.

Responsibilities:

  • Create shop drawings and 3D models with a high level of accuracy based upon design drawings or drawings supplied by other parties.
  • Develop accurate plans, sections, and details cut from a 3D model or an architects’ drawings for medium to large scale projects.
  • Clearly annotate, dimension, and produce production drawings in conformance to PTMW design standards and practices.
  • Setup and manage large sheet sets including revisions and markups for each project.
  • Plot or translate drawings to other formats or to paper plots from large projects.
  • Create 3D visuals or renderings on an as needed basis for marketing or project use.

Required Skills:

  • 3D modeling experience using Solid Edge, Solid Works, Auto CAD Inventor, etc.
  • 2D drafting experience using AutoCAD
  • Computer skills include Windows 10, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with manufacturing processes experience.
  • Self-motivated, demonstrated initiative and ability to take on projects.
  • Ability to work independently and to organize and prioritize tasks to meet required deadlines.
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and create technical documents, engineering drawings, engineering documentations.
  • Ability to create documents and correspondence to effectively present information, respond to questions, solve problems, and justify needs.

Required Skills:

  • 3D modeling experience using Solid Edge, Solid Works, Auto CAD Inventor, etc.
  • 2D drafting experience using AutoCAD
  • Computer skills include Windows 10, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent working knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, along with knowledge of assembly and welding procedures
  • Associate or technical degree in drafting or equivalent
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (sheet metal) and fabrication methods
  • Manufacturing experience in sheet metal
  • Experience using Solid Edge
  • Understanding of welding, fixtures, CNC machines, metal, and plastic manufacturing methods

Compensation:

  • 37,000 -80,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Opportunities to advance in pay during the initial year if certain criteria are met.
  • Monthly and yearly reviews
