Payroll Specialist 1

Additional Position Details: This position is onsite | Work Schedule is Monday-Friday 0800-1700 (8am-5pm) and 0630-1500 (630am-3pm) the Wednesday of pay day week.

Position Summary

The Payroll Specialist 1 processes and distributes payroll and payroll information in a timely and accurate manner while meeting all Federal and State regulations as well as Asante policies.

As a Payroll Specialist for Asante, you will have the opportunity to:

• Process Bi-Weekly payrolls to ensure the accurate and timely payment of wages to all Asante employees
• Provide payroll and productivity information to managers and other employees to enable them to perform their jobs more effectively
• Process termination, retro and correction check requests made between pay dates to ensure accurate and timely payments
• Attend department meetings, actively participate in discussions and offer suggestions to resolve problems and improve procedures
• Attend any available training to promote knowledge of pay practices and increase knowledge of software systems
• Deliver outstanding customer service to meet the needs of external and internal customers
  
  

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent, required
• Associate degree in business administration, accounting or related field, preferred
  
  

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of relevant clerical/administrative experience, including experience working with payroll, time and attendance and scheduling systems, required
