The Role You’ll Contribute

Manages the day-to-day activities related to the decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of equipment and sterile supplies. Develops a quality improvement plan, work process standards and performance goals to ensure optimal service delivery and patient care. Responsible for staffing, training, performance management, compliance and fiscal management of departmental assets. Demonstrates an attitude consistent with the hospital's mission, vision and values.

  • Selects, assigns and retains staff, ensuring equal employment opportunity in hiring and promotion.* Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities and directing the work. * Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques. Completes performance evaluations and corrective actions per policy. *
  • Identifies staff development and training needs and provides coaching and training.
  • Provides department specific reports as required.
  • Investigates and works to resolve any safety and risk management issues.

Required Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • High School GED Required
  • 3 years of sterile processing experience Required
  • 2 years of leadership experience Required
  • CRCST - Certified and Registered Central Service Technician CRCST, CIS, CBSPD, IAHCSMM, or CHL Required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Preferred
