Description

Maxwood Furniture is a rapidly growing furniture company with an expanding portfolio of brands such as Max & Lily, Plank + Beam, and Maxtrix. Since launching over two decades ago, we have established multiple sales channels including our DTC websites and third-party marketplaces.

We are seeking a new Product Analyst to add to our Analytics team. Are you ready to be a part of something amazing?

Position Overview

  • This is an incredible opportunity to join a growing company in a high-impact role focused on leveraging data to optimize our e-commerce performance and achieve strategic business objectives. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to translate data insights into actionable recommendations, ultimately contributing to the continued growth of our consumer e-commerce business.
  • Monitor product performance across marketplaces through full-funnel KPIs, trend/seasonality analyses and ad hoc reporting against things like capital-requirement, resources and channel projections.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as channel/brand management, product development, operations etc. to support the development and implementation of data-driven initiatives while also ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Own processes related to product health management; this involves but is not limited to: inventory positions, lifecycles, liquidation strategy, new product launch tracking, etc.
  • Determine and participate in strategic initiatives within the innovation funnel; this could be something like proposing cost changes to meet profitability goals, consolidating packaging to save on shipping, proposing the discontinuation of a low performing category or color.
  • Initiate exercises around product pricing with respect to performance, elasticity, contribution, margin, and other metric/KPIs.
  • Utilize existing data infrastructure to build and collaborate on reports related to initiatives and tasks listed above.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the analytics department.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and supports company wide, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, and confidentiality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in any of the following or related fields: Business, Finance, Mathematics, or Data/Computer Science.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an analyst or analyst-related role.
  • Knowledge or experience with eCommerce marketplaces.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook, copilot).
  • Fast learning skills with fine attention to detail.
  • Approaches problems with a quantitative mindset.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload based on business needs.
  • Able to pivot quickly when ad hoc work is required.
