General Sales Manager

Description of the Role

As a General Sales Manager at Classic Kia, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the new and used sales department. You will be in charge of developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve company sales goals and targets. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and motivating the sales team, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining client relationships. You need to be ambitious while developing measurable performance goals based on real-world analytics. This is a senior-level position requiring strong leadership, sales management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities of General Sales Manager:

  • Create and execute sales strategies to achieve company sales objectives
  • Manage and lead the sales team, providing guidance, training, and motivation
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify potential sales opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Oversee the sales process, from lead generation to closing deals
  • Regularly analyze sales data and generate reports
  • Work with dealership advertising agency to create result-driven campaigns with strong return on investment
  • Confirm and initial vehicle transactions prior to posting
  • Resolve customer complaints as needed
  • Understand current and future government regulations governing vehicle sales, and ensure sales management consistently follows dealership policies and procedures
  • Develop procedures to liquidate aged vehicles
  • Review trade-in appraisals
  • Attend manager meetings
  • Ensure dealership property meets manufacturer standards and is secure


Requirements of General Sales Manager:

  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret sales data
