Compensation: $180,000 - $200,000 / year
We are seeking a strategic, execution-focused Director of BI & Analytics to lead our enterprise data strategy, analytics roadmap, and cross-functional data teams. This leader will drive the adoption of modern data platforms, enhance governance, and enable actionable insights across risk adjustment, clinical operations, quality, compliance, and cost management. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring deep technical acumen, people leadership, and a track record of delivering scalable data solutions in healthcare. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with a passion for mentoring others and delivering scalable, high-quality data solutions. You will collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, technology teams, and business leaders to design and implement robust Analytics Solutions that support internal and external clients. With over a million managed lives across the country and terabytes of healthcare data generated, your leadership will be critical to empowering our organization with the tools and insights needed to drive innovation and improve patient outcomes.

- Design and execute a multi-year enterprise data analytics strategy aligned with Astrana Health’s growth and value-based care objectives.
- Champion the modernization of our data infrastructure, including using Databricks and PowerBI enabling scalable and efficient analytics workflows.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive analytics framework with tight data govern-ance and development lifecycle that ensures data accuracy, compliance, and stakeholder trust.
- Design and develop enterprise-grade BI dashboards using out-of-the-box features, custom visualizations, and advanced analytics.
- Publish customized reports and dashboards tailored to business functions and ex-ecutive stakeholders.
- Partner with business units to identify analytical opportunities, prioritize projects, and translate complex data into meaningful business impact.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and influence cross-functional teams, align prior-ities across clinical, operational, and executive leadership, and communicate com-plex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Work with stakeholders to define and improve standardized and ad-hoc analyt-ics/reporting capabilities.
- Create a positive, collaborative team environment built on open communication and trust.
- Set clear goals and KPIs, delegate tasks, and manage project timelines and delivera-bles.
- Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and drive continuous improvement.
- Inspire, mentor, and grow a high-performing BI and analytics team.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, data science, analytics, statis-tics, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data analytics and engineering, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven ability to scale and lead data teams in a fast-paced, healthcare-focused environment.
- Strong expertise with modern data stacks including Databricks, SQL, Azure, AWS, Power BI, Python, and DevOps tools.
- Deep understanding of value-based care analytics, clinical operations, risk adjustment, finance, utilization management and claims.
- Experience with cloud-computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience in working with HCC/HEDIS/Clinical Analytics
- Experience in working with large datasets.
- Experience in data governance, dashboard development, machine learning applications, and big data strategy.
- Deep understanding of professional software engineering practices including SDLC, version control, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including documentation, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

- The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $180,000 - $200,000. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
