Merchandising Assistant- Women's Shoes

About The Job

Louis Vuitton Americas is searching for a Merchandising Assistant for Women’s Shoes. As an integral member of the Women’s universe, you will support and assist the Senior Manager in executing the merchandising strategy and driving the overall Women’s shoes business in the Americas. This individual will possess a strong product sensibility, knowledge of the competitive landscape, agility, and business acumen.

Job responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support overarching Women’s Shoes priorities and launches throughout the LVA Zone.
  
  

Commercial Mindset

• Under guidance of the senior manager, this leader will partner with regionals, store, and cross functional partners to help execute actions accomplish key strategic initiatives
• Prepare launch plans, modelarios, lookbooks and recaps on new product launches
• Regular competitive analysis, keeping in mind trends, pricing, actions and events
• Analyze sales at sku/store level, maximizing sell-through by proposing stock pushes and rebalancings at store/sku level
• Partner with Paris to support and grow the Zone business with product and stock requests
  
  

Decision Making

• Partner with supply chain on all product flows, ensuring stores are well stocked for peak selling periods, ongoing business, events
• Prepare for and support events and caravans, creating retail & client facing tools, entering orders during event, and initiating stock rebalances and creating assortments to support event sales targets. Support adhoc needs onsite.
• Participate in Paris buying sessions – inputting orders, sizing, creating recaps
• General administrative tasks including schedule meetings, ship samples/store tools, etc.
  
  

Profile

We are eager to speak to professionals who have exceptional experience in corporate merchandising/buying with focus on Women's Shoes. A passionate, pragmatic, and analytical professional who is driven for results and works well in a fast-paced environment; Ability to influence across the organization with sophisticated product allocation and product knowledge across the competitive landscape.

In addition this merchant will be a skilled communicator who can synthesize large data sets and prioritize key opportunities with high expertise levels in Excel. Client experience focused with an eye for details. Must be able to manage and produce high quality/volume analytical deliverables. Enthusiastic team player with entrepreneurial spirit who will work closely with internal and external stakeholders.

The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of USD $30.00- 32.00 hourly plus the opportunity for a bonus, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.

The position requires 4 days per week on site in the Louis Vuitton Corporate Office, located in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan.
