The Business Architecture Analyst team is responsible for achieving business outcomes by coordinating with IT, business, and senior leadership to set priorities, manage new business, and provide direction and oversight to the business architecture analysts. The team devises and establishes IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by senior IT leadership. They communicate and collaborate with senior IT management on labor needs, budgets, and risks. The team manages and aligns business architecture analysts to work with business, product, and feature teams to derive functional and non-functional technical requirements. They ensure business architecture analysts use a variety of techniques to understand business requirements, such as use case modeling, business process modeling, and requirement decomposition techniques. Additionally, they curate comprehensive end-to-end testing plans, covering functional, performance, and usability testing.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide mentorship through deep technical and business understanding of the federal technology landscape, limitations, costs and risks
- Establish short and long term goals for the growth of the business architecture analyst team
- Develop staff KPI’s and goals consistent with business and departmental requirements and goals
- Administration of department policy and procedures to include performance reviews, handling employee issues, monitoring PTO (Paid Time Off), timesheet approval, interviewing, oversight of new hire training, professional growth and performance, and routine departmental task
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as technology professional, in Software Engineering, Architecture, or Product Management, supporting legacy and modern software
- 3+ years of experience in software delivery for use in support of Federal clients, to include the Department of Defense
- 3+ years of experience defining and driving the technical direction of strategic initiatives
- 3+ years of experience in driving both the Business and IT strategies to cohesively propel each other at organizational, national, and/or global scale
- 2+ years of experience leading technology teams in the design and delivery of software
- If you are offered this position, you will be required to provide extensive personal information to obtain and maintain a suitability or determination of eligibility for a Confidential/Secret or Top Secret security clearance as a condition of your employment
- United States Citizenship
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of experience in related fields
- 2+ years of IT Director or similar role
- All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy
