Under the direction of the Emergency Preparedness Program Manager, the Emergency Preparedness Partner assists with plans for emergency preparedness for Essentia East. Assists with development, management and annual evaluation of the Emergency Operation Plan. Work involves assisting in coordination of all operational activities and planning for emergency support functions for the Essentia East Health Emergency Response Plan. Responsible to assist Essentia East facilities are working to meet all regulatory requirements for emergency preparedness. Assesses needs on an ongoing basis and develops an action plan to fulfill defined needs. Organizes, manages, conducts and documents emergency preparedness exercises, including decontamination and other drills, to support compliance with regulatory requiremnets and guidelines. Coordinates and implements education for leaders, staff and departments of the Essentia Health System. Along with the emergency preparedness program manager will serve as a representative of Essentia East in community, regional, state, and national emergency operations, and co-coordinates emergency response activities with state, county and municipal authorities. Collaborates with emergency preparedness leaders from other regions of the Essentia System. Work Experience:Demonstrated experience in emergency preparedness required with healthcare experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience in planning and managing projects/programs, including demonstrated ability to work in a cooperative manner with a variety of colleagues.Experience with the presentation of training programs to a diverse audience.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field; Master's degree preferred.
Successful completion of FEMA courses 100, 200 and 700
Licensure/Certification Qualifications
No certification/licensure required.
