Associate Veterinarian Needed - Lake Olympia Animal Hospital

Lake Olympia Animal Hospital is seeking a motivated, team oriented full-time DVM to join our growing practice.

Who We Are:

Lake Olympia Animal Hospital is an 8 DVM companion animal practice (dogs and cats) in Missouri City, Texas, near the southwest area of Houston. Our hospital has been a highly respected part of the community since 1985, and we have the privilege of seeing multi-generations of family members with their pets. Our clientele continues to grow with people seeking individualized care for each patient and a team that will spend the time to address all of their pet family's needs. At Lake Olympia, we believe the best way to provide compassionate, quality care to pets is by putting relationships, with our clients, patients, team members and community, at the heart of everything we do.

The LOAH team is a talented group of veterinary professionals with a sense of humor (!) and we strive to take care of one another. Currently our team includes 7DVMs, 7 CSRs, 13 Veterinary Technicians and Assistants, 5 Kennel Team members, 4 Pet Stylists and an in-house Management Team including our Hospital Administrator (CVPM) and Asst HA.

The hospital is beautiful and well equipped. Some of the services offered include wellness and preventative care, general surgery (orthopedics done by mobile surgeon on site), dentistry w/dental radiographs, ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiology, rehabilitation services including underwater treadmills, acupuncture, in-house Idexx laboratory equipment, and hospitalization/treatment of sick patients.

We are a cohesive team in a family atmosphere working together to offer exemplary care for our patients and their families. Our DVMs work collaboratively on cases, and our support staff does an outstanding job handling technician level skills, including collecting histories and lab samples, administering treatments and performing diagnostic testing. We have a low turnover rate with several of our group having been with us for 10+ years!

We offer a great mentorship program if desired, with our veterinary team ranging from 37years in practice to new graduates, we have a large range of interests and talents--including a Board-Certified Feline Practitioner. We encourage professional development and the opportunity to help our DVMs grow in their skills and knowledge, and continue to offer new and improved services to our clientele. Your work week would be a 4 day work week, rotating every other Saturday (1/2 day), and closed Sunday. No after-hours emergency duties are required, as we have multiple emergency hospitals nearby.
