Designer (contract)

Job Summary

Join our dynamic team to create, update, and revise sketches, working drawings, and contract documents using SmallWorld GIS software or manual drafting methods to fulfill customer needs. You will be responsible for preparing 2D and 3D models while interpreting detailed customer requirements, data sheets, and supplier specifications. Working under the guidance of a supervisor, you will utilize information from project engineering, architectural, or technical services staff to complete assignments. This role requires a solid understanding of drafting techniques, engineering concepts, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and revise sketches, working drawings, and contract documents using SmallWorld GIS software or manual drafting methods.
• Prepare 2D and 3D models based on customer requirements.
• Interpret detailed customer requirements, data sheets, and supplier specifications.
• Collaborate with project engineering, architectural, or technical services staff to complete assignments.
• Utilize drafting techniques and engineering concepts effectively.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints accurately.
• Prepare documentation to support design drawings.
• Generate bills of material, schedules, and assist engineering personnel with drawing transmittals and construction issues.
