Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated AP Manager to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounts payable, account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and audit support. Key Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurately processing supplier invoices and payments.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies, payment inquiries, and account issues.
  • Perform and manage account reconciliations, including supplier statements, bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare and post accurate and timely journal entries to ensure proper accounting and reporting.
  • Adhering to established accounting processes and internal reporting requirements
  • Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring financial statements are accurate and in compliance with GAAP.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing schedules, gathering documentation, and addressing auditor inquiries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data entry and reporting in the company’s web-based ERP system.
  • Analyze financial data and generate reports to assist in decision-making processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience as a cost accountant, high-volume accounts payable, or financial analyst
  • Familiarity with financial statement preparation and reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of internal controls and compliance standards.
  • Highly driven and organized individual who shows pride in producing accurate financial data

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience; private equity backed experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in account reconciliations, journal entries, and audit support.
  • Experience working with a web-based ERP system (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle) is highly desirable.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis tools).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and deadline conscious
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
