In this key role, you'll support and supervise collections teams within your assigned region—ensuring compliance with company policies, enhancing performance, and driving results through hands-on leadership and consistent field presence.
What You'll Do
- Monitor daily collections activity across assigned dealerships
- Conduct weekly dealership visits and provide in-person support
- Ensure consistent call volume and personal visits by account representatives
- Provide hands-on training and coaching for new and tenured collections staff
- Conduct monthly audits and ensure adherence to all collections procedures
- Lead onboarding and development for new Account Representatives
- Partner in the hiring, interviewing, and promotion process for Account Reps and Sr. Account Reps
- Maintain strict focus on repossession processes, compliance, and timely execution
- Track and analyze performance metrics; identify training needs and close skill gaps
- Facilitate regular workshops, calls, and annual tax time training
- Support special projects and assist in managing high-priority accounts
- Collaborate with General Managers and Area Operations Managers to improve performance in underperforming stores
- Maintain a rolling 60-day stop list and report regional economic changes affecting collections
- Ensure daily presence in dealerships to drive accountability and performance
- Strong knowledge of collections procedures and policies
- Proven ability to lead, train, and coach field teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of accountability and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel within the region and be present at dealerships daily
- Ability to analyze data, audit performance, and recommend improvements
- Strong understanding of repossession protocols and legal compliance
- Comfortable working independently and in collaboration with operations leadership
