Registered Nurse. Intandem. FT. 1st Shift. Benefits. $36 - $42/hour.

POSITION SUMMARY: Ensures appropriate medical care to the people we serve, directly or through an LPN, by: performing skilled nursing duties; providing training, direction, and assistance to direct care staff; communicating and enforcing medical policies and procedures; providing oversight to certified staff in the administration of medication.

Personal Qualifications

• Minimum Required Formal Education/Training & Background/Experience
• Current New York State Registered Nurse license is required.
• At least one-year nursing experience is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and reliable transpiration is required.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred.

• Ability to demonstrate a high level of empathy and sensitivity to the physical and psychological needs of the people we serve
• Ability to communicate effectively orally, in writing, 1-on-1 and on the telephone
• Ability to be flexible and be responsive to on-call demands
• A0bility and willingness to provide effective instruction and demonstration to staff
• Ability to maintain and apply current knowledge of OMRDD, OMH, DOH and other regulations governing medical care delivery to the people we serve
• Ability and willingness to drive to multiple sites to perform skilled nursing duties
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPI certification
