What you will do as a Receiving and Inventory Assistant:

The Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for incoming and outgoing shipments including inspections, acceptance, checking in packages, preparing and transferring deliveries. Delivers materials to various locations and prepares outbound shipments for pickups by various carriers. Assists in the processes of ensuring assets are properly processed and tagged per University policy as well as facilitation of surplus property. Operates powered industrial trucks (fork truck, electric/manual pallet jacks) and box trucks, while maintaining a secure, safe and clean warehouse.

Valid Driver’s License and Fork Lift Certification required.

Experience

6 months experience in warehouse shipping and receiving environment or similar environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience

2 years’ experience in warehouse shipping and receiving environment.

Experience working in governmental, higher education, or large corporation surplus and/or inventory property program.
