Job Summary

The Brand Manager is responsible for ensuring the development and consistent use and protection of various Northgate brands across our operating portfolio. The Brand Manager will work with various business leaders to ensure that our brands are developed following our standards and represent the business needs for optimal customer messaging and affiliation. The Brand Manager will work to ensure our umbrella of brands adheres to our strategies and that all users within our company comply to the appropriate use and applications. The Brand Manager is also responsible for the planning, development and execution of our media plan (excluding digital) to ensure effective and efficient use of media to drive maximized brand awareness and sales according to our annual and quarterly plans.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • In partnership, works with business teams and owners, along with Marketing resources, to develop key branding elements including logos, fonts, treatments, language and applications.
  • Develops, updates and communicates brand guidelines for strict compliance.
  • Develops, communicates and ensures compliance for the proper use of both Spanish and English language specific to marketing tactics. Ensures organizational use and compliance.
  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences.
  • Designs and implements highly effective media strategies to align with business goals.
  • Develops plans in close partnership with both the Digital Marketing Manager and the Sales and Shopper Marketing Teams.
  • Manages our agency relationship, contract and key deliverables.
  • Sets specific objectives and reports on media ROI and effectiveness.
  • Oversees budget related to development and execution of media spends.
  • Collaborates with other teams including Marketing, Merchandising and other business units to ensure brand inclusion, awareness, support and consistency.
  • Stays up-to-date with current technologies, media capabilities and consumer trends in media, creative and design tools and applications.

Education/Experience/Skills

POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS:
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing or related field
  • Proven work experience as a Media and/or Brand Manager
  • Excellent copywriting and language skills
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Solid knowledge of Media planning and execution
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Analytical, budgeting, and multitasking skills
  • Highly proficient, excellent language and grammar skills in both Spanish and English

  • This position is headquartered in the Northgate Gonzalez Market Support Center. As such, this position is defined as full-time and on-site. Any remote work or work performed outside of the Support Center must be authorized by the Department’s Supervisor.
