We are seeking a dynamic, organized, and results-driven Event Director to oversee event strategy, coordination, and appointment scheduling for high-traffic venues such as state fairs, home and garden shows, expos, and festivals. This role is responsible for driving lead generation through face-to-face engagement and ensuring seamless appointment follow-up with our sales team.
OBJECTIVES
Event Strategy & Planning
- Event planning and management
- Locating and hosting events
- Identify and secure booth space at regional/state fairs, home shows, and expos
- Develop and manage the annual event calendar and budget
- Coordinate logistics including booth setup, materials, staffing, and travel
- Design processes for capturing and converting event leads into scheduled sales appointments
- Supervise event staff or brand ambassadors in real-time lead generation
- Implement and maintain digital and manual tools (e.g., tablets, CRM, calendars) for accurate appointment scheduling
- Recruit, train, and manage event staff and appointment setters
- Ensure team adheres to brand standards and delivers exceptional customer experiences
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop event-specific promotions and materials
- Monitor competitors and industry events for new opportunities
- Goals: Maximize attendance, attract exhibitors/sponsors, drive media coverage.
- Track KPIs: number of leads captured, appointments scheduled, show-to-sale conversion rates
- Provide post-event performance reports and ROI analysis
- 3–5+ years of experience in event management, trade show coordination, or field marketing
- Proven success in lead generation and appointment setting at live events
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using CRM and calendar tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Calendly, etc.)
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
- Ability to work evenings/weekends during events as needed
- Experience in solar, home services, or similar industries is a plus
- Background in sales or marketing
- Knowledge of regional/state fair circuits and consumer expos
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
