Pay: Range starts at $115k+ annually (pay is calculated based on years of related experience)

Schedule: M-F | 8 am – 5 pm

Job Summary & Deliverables

The Data Analytics Director oversees the data analytics and electronic health information functions for Valley. The Director leads projects to produce meaningful quantitative analyses to address business issues and questions. The Director supervises a team of Data Analysts and Electronic Health Record (EHR) Administrators and ensures a high level of customer service, problem-solving, and business support.

  • Collaborates with executive leadership to ensure alignment of short and long-term departmental objectives with the company's mission, strategic plan, and key performance indicators
  • Oversees data, reporting, and analytics to support strategic growth and development
  • Collaborates with leadership to identify and evaluate business needs and key metrics to be tracked and reported
  • Ensures EHR system reliability and performance.
  • Oversees the development, implementation, and analysis of EHR initiatives.
  • Supervises a team of Data Analysts and EHR Administrators; evaluates the progress of projects and ensures that objectives are being completed
  • Manages projects involving the development of dashboards, reports, and custom software solutions via SQL, Tableau, and other scripting tools using information from enterprise applications (i.e. the Electronic Health Records system, HRIS systems, etc.)
  • Develops, improves, and maintains policies and procedures for data management
  • Reviews and evaluates the progress of projects and ensures objectives are met
  • Works effectively with multiple end-users and provides excellent customer service
  • Models professional behavior and builds a customer-focused, accountable, and supportive team culture

Requirements

  • Must live in Utah - Salt Lake County area
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
  • Three years of experience as a Data Analyst utilizing SQL queries

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous healthcare EHR experience
  • Previous database report-building experience
  • Previous supervisory experience
