We are seeking a dynamic candidate to join the Primary Health Solutions team as a WIC Dietitian that will work out of our Hamilton Bever.

A day in the life of a WIC Dietitian:

Responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of nutrition education services as part of the certification process. Provides counseling and develops a nutrition care plan based on the assessment of information obtained in the dietary interview in conjunction with information obtained from health histories, food frequencies, hematological measurements and growth measurements.

Customer Service:

  • Obtains and assesses health history information, anthropometric and laboratory data from electronic health record, and determines nutritional and/or medical risks.
  • Interviews patients and/or families to obtain diet history, exercise habits, emotional/social issues as part of the diet counseling process and documents any pertinent information obtained in the electronic health record.
  • Provides individualized nutrition counseling appropriate for the needs of the patient.
  • Documents appropriate nutrition counseling and care plan information in the electronic health record.
  • Refers participants to other health, social or education services when appropriate.

Operations:

  • Develops and maintains nutrition education materials and literature.
  • Completes, signs and dates all required documents in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates with others in developing and conducting programs and activities to achieve goals.

Requirements

Success Requirements:

  • Active bachelor's degree in Dietetics.
  • Registered or registry eligible with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics/Commission on Dietetic Registration preferred.
  • Licensed with the State Medical Board of Ohio
  • Experience in public health/community dietetics.
  • Experience in clinical dietetics desirable.
  • Experience as a Dietitian or in a similar role
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Problem solver that can adapt to changes
  • Attention to detail
