PeaceHealth is seeking a Revenue Integrity Analyst - Commercial Billing for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $28.02 – $42.04. The revenue integrity analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of billing processes. Key responsibilities include: Rectifying overcharges and underpayments to ensure accurate revenue capture, ensuring adherence to government regulations and managed care contracts; collecting data and producing reports to support revenue cycle operations.
- Must currently live in WA, OR, AK, TX or willing to relocate by date of hire.
- -Analyzes billing data for correctness and insurance denials to determine errors that are systemic in nature as a means to flag issues for process improvement; queries, pulls and evaluates financial and billing information; evaluates charge code requests to determine their validity and indicates to department leader any issues and proposed modifications prior to forwarding for finalization.
- Conducts reviews on accounts from different departments including but not limited to Utilization Review for corrected patient class billing; makes patient class corrections in Epic.
- Conducts thorough review of accounts that need to be billed from Inpatient to Observation; complete Medicare AB Rebills with application of Condition Code 44, and provision of MOON processes when appropriate in compliance with CMS regulations supported by medical record documentation.
- Conducts review of bed charge errors and makes the appropriate adjustments or corrections and rebills the claim.
- Conducts review of Hemodialysis (End Stage Renal Disease) claim edits and completes corrections and adjustments for compliant billing.
- Provides communication through interpreting and conveying information, establishing and maintaining open communications between customers and staff; ensuring compliance with departmental and organizational changes and events through reading posted communications and attending unit and assigned meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Associates Degree Required: Business and/or Health Information Management.
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred: Business, Health Information Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 1 year Required: Hospital billing and/or insurance payment verification or equivalent education and/or experience
- Minimum of 1 year Required: Hospital Claim Edit and/or Coding or Revenue Integrity or equivalent education and/or experience
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills (Required)
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills (Required)
- Advanced computer skills to include Excel, Word, and knowledge of software for hospital contract and/or claims management (Required)
- Ability to accurately run reports and analyze data; ability to navigate multiple software sites simultaneously (Required)
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team (Required)
