Position Summary
The Senior Account Manager (SAM) will be responsible for managing the Account Management team with additional account management duties as required. The SAM will liaise between customers and internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of our solutions consistent with customer needs. Successful SAM is relentless and consistent flawless in executing plans and meeting commitments; and delivers in the face of resistance, ambiguity, or setbacks.
You will be asked to lead teams, solve problems, build reports, business cases, and track metrics. This position requires a motivated self starter, driven by accomplishment and accountability with strong attention to detail, adaptable to changing requirements and priorities.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the Account Management team.
- Set clear goals and track performance to goals for direct reports.
- Ensure Account Management team has the resources and support needed to effectively complete their responsibilities as needed by their customers.
- Develop and communicate sales and performance metric data.
- Initiates and supports all aspects of the sale process, from target, capture, and delivery.
- Drives product development and customer requirements with Engineering, Quality, Production Control and Manufacturing
- Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts and customer stakeholders.
- Work with the sales and marketing team of Contracts Administrators, Pricing analysts, and Account Managers to negotiate favorable contract terms, pricing, and agreements.
- Lead point of contact for any and all matters preventing timely delivery of commitments.
- Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
- Forecast and track key account metrics.
- Identify, lead and support continuous improvement activity.
- Demonstrated excellence leading across matrixed organizations through both direct leadership and persuasion.
- Self-motivated, goal driven, proactive and works for results.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with ability to balance competing priorities.
- Courage to take on unpopular or unpleasant issues; champions ideas to do what is best.
- Demonstrates the ambition to lead, seek challenges, responsibility, and accountability.
- Proven track record in aerospace contracts negotiation.
- Experience in marketing, new business development with "mission critical" urgency. Technical knowledge of aerospace fluid fittings a plus.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of international export/import, DFAR and other buy American laws and regulations that impact the Company’s ability to do business with the government of the United States. Establishes and maintains processes to ensure compliance of order fulfillment process with regulations.
