Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily site operations and lead construction crews in either utility installation or grading activities.
- Coordinate equipment, labor, and materials to ensure work stays on schedule and within scope.
- Oversee trenching, grading, compaction, utility tie-ins, and backfilling operations.
- Willingness to train and mentor crew members
- Ensure compliance with site plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Communicate daily progress and any issues to project managers or site superintendents.
- Conduct site inspections and toolbox talks to promote safe and efficient work environments.
- Read and interpret construction blueprints and site layout plans.
- Provide hands-on support in pipe laying, earth moving, and finish grading as needed.
- Maintain daily logs of labor, materials, and equipment usage.
- Resolve job site challenges proactively, keeping crews focused and motivated.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience leading crews in heavy civil construction.
- Proficiency in underground utility installation (storm, sewer, water) or grading and earthwork.
- Ability to read blueprints, grades, and site layout documentation.
- Willingness to train and mentor crew members
- Experience operating construction equipment is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Commitment to enforcing and upholding safety standards on the job site.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
