Position Overview:
As a Senior Manager, Events Planning will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end planning and execution of a wide range of events, including industry trade shows, customer-facing conferences, internal seminars, and executive meetings. This role requires a detail-oriented leader with strong strategic vision, excellent project management skills, and experience managing budgets, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead planning and execution of large-scale trade shows, internal corporate seminars, and strategic meetings across multiple departments and regions.
- Develop event strategies aligned with business objectives, brand standards, and audience engagement goals.
- Manage event budgets, timelines, vendor contracts, logistics, and post-event reporting.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, HR, and executive leadership, to ensure alignment on messaging and objectives.
- Source and negotiate with venues, production teams, speakers, and suppliers.
- Oversee event marketing efforts, including signage, promotional materials, and pre-/post-event communications.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations related to events.
- Analyze event performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Lead and mentor junior events staff or external contractors, as applicable.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate event planning, with a strong portfolio of trade shows, seminars, and corporate meetings.
- Proven experience managing complex events with 500+ attendees.
- Strong vendor negotiation and budget management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism and ability to interact with executive leadership.
- Proficiency in project management and event planning tools (e.g., Cvent, Asana, Monday.com, Eventbrite).
- Ability to travel domestically as needed.
- CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) or equivalent certification.
- Experience in the telecom or consulting industry
- Knowledge of hybrid and virtual event formats and technologies.
