We are now seeking an experienced and qualified individual to join our team as a Network Engineer I working in Lubbock, TX, as part of our NOC team. Responsibilities & Duties
- Proactively monitor and maintain customer network infrastructure.
- Create and manage tickets for network issues.
- Troubleshoot network and server problems.
- Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Perform routine maintenance and software upgrades on customer equipment.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate resources.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Develop knowledge base solutions for common issues.
- Work flexible shifts and participate in on-call rotation.
- Efficiently handle incoming/outgoing calls professionally and knowledgeably.
Education:
- Computer/Management Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar bachelor’s degrees or Associates Degrees
- Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requiring a high school diploma or GED.
- Requires 0-3 years’ experience of operating, troubleshooting, and/or designing Service Provider Networks (This position is open to both entry-level and applicants with some industry experience)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, non-supervisory
- Specific shifts may vary. This role may include weekend shifts.
- On-call required
