Division Overview

Global Partnerships provides revenue generating hospitality and ticketing solutions for marquee sporting events, teams, leagues and other sports and entertainment organizations. Solutions include premium suite sales, ticket sales, corporate partnerships, and experience package development and sales.

Premium Experiences provides hospitality and event management services for marquee sporting events and teams. Service lines include event hospitality, premium hospitality services, and concierge services.

Global Partnerships and Premium Experiences work together closely to produce, sell, and service fan hospitality packages at sporting events (sales and service respectively).

Position Summary

The Finance Director is the lead financial professional for these divisions and is responsible for financial oversight and management of the divisional finance team. The Finance Director owns all aspects of financial and operational reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting for these divisions to further the growth and goals of each business and to contribute to the organization’s strategic goals. Elements of the treasury and cash management functions for the division will align under the responsibility of the REVELxp Corporate finance team. The Finance Director will report to the EVPs of Global Partnerships and Premium Experiences and will have additional or dual reporting to the REVELxp Chief Financial Officer. The Finance Director will play an integral role in the operations of the business, working directly with the leadership and management teams of each division. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close activities for the divisions; Perform month-end tasks: review and approve purchasing card transactions, preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, financial reports. Ensure accuracy and provide data-driven guidance to facilitate divisional decision-making. Monitor financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure the division meets key financial goals
  • Ensure proper revenue recognition in cooperation with the Corporate finance team
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable and collections activities
  • Monitor expenditures as well as coordinate with the accounting, marketing and operations teams on the approval and processing of these expenditures within the accounting and reporting systems to ensure timely vendor and royalty payments
  • Supervise a direct team providing technical direction and assistance. Inspire the continued development of the team, ensuring appropriate growth of each team member, while fostering a spirit of continuous improvement
  • Analyze and review business contracts to ensure compliance, identify any risks, and ensure financial goals are met through proforma modeling
  • Oversee all aspects related to creation and review of partner royalty reports
  • Create cash flow forecasts for individual projects to manage cash outflows vs inflows.
  • Develop and manage commission reporting and payments to ensure transactional accuracy and enhance efficiency of the process
  • Responsible for monthly calls with the business line and project leaders to review all financial aspects of their projects
  • Lead the division’s annual budget process as well as the forecasting process and any ad hoc forecasts, as needed
  • Act as an agent of change and improvement and adapt quickly to changing business priorities
  • Facilitate a culture of teamwork and excellence amongst the organization
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on enterprise-wide projects
  • Interact with REVELxp Corporate finance and other key business leaders to properly align policies and controls with business operations, uncovering synergies, risks and opportunities and ensuring ongoing compliance with implemented policies and procedures

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification highly preferred
  • 5-8 years of leadership and management experience in accounting operations environment
  • Proficiency in financial principles (GAAP), accounting, and budgeting processes
  • Experience in a fast-paced, growing business with multiple entity reporting and condensed deadlines
  • Extensive experience with ERP systems and other reporting tools
  • Must possess extremely strong Excel skills with advanced formula knowledge
