The Kids Project Manager role will assist with special events and projects for the Kids Ministry (birth through 5th grade) across all BattleCreek Church locations. Also, as the primary lead for the Kids PM team, this role is responsible for guiding the team in executing engaging, safe, and fun experiences for children and their families while in our care. They ensure the consistent implementation of systems that support a high-quality ministry environment. This role will collaborate with campus leads to achieve ministry goals and partners with the Kids Content Creator to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum. Additionally, this position assists the Director of Kids with various strategic projects across all areas of the Kids Ministry.

Depending on the role, you might find yourself in an office, on stage, out in the community, or working behind the scenes. Evening and weekend hours may be required—it’s all part of ministry life!
This role is primarily office-based but may involve some physical activity, including standing, lifting (up to 20 pounds), kneeling, setting up equipment, or prepping for events—sometimes even late at night. Don’t worry; we’ll ensure you know what to expect!

Your Day-to-Day
Every day looks different, but here’s a snapshot of what you’ll be up to:
- Recruit, develop, and oversee staff for BattleCreek Church Kids PM ministry and special events
- Assist in recruiting, developing, and equipping a team of central volunteers for BattleCreek Church Kids ministry
- Assist in developing and implementing curriculum for BattleCreek Church Kids Ministries that includes biblical teachings, worship, and age-appropriate activities
- Build strong relationships with the campus leads & other Kids staff
- Communicate feedback to campus leads to create efficiency for processes and systems at each location
- Provide a high level of execution that ensures success for the experience of BattleCreek Kids Ministries and special events
- Perform other church duties as assigned by the Director of Kids to help all people, of all ages, all the time, advance in their journey with Christ
The must-haves for this role:
- Education & Experience: We are looking for someone with Bachelor’s Degree (but it is not required) and 1 to 2 years of experience in ministry preferrably with kids and families. Having experience in a multi-site environment is an added plus!
