The job of Payroll Technician is done for the purpose/s of performing all phases of responsible technical and payroll support related to the preparation of major payrolls for the District; processing payroll and related records for assigned classified, certificated, and hourly employees; responding to complex and unusual payroll problems and computational questions; assuring District employees are paid in an accurate and timely manner, accuracy of program and funds distribution, and compliance with mandated requirements; and preparing and maintaining a variety of confidential records and reports related to assigned functions. This job reports to the Director of Payroll.
