Job Summary:
Provides professional care for patients following established standards, practices and office policies. Checks patients in, verifies insurance, files, and answers phones. Works under the direct supervision of the physician and/or office supervisor.
Job duties include but are not limited to:

Job Summary:
Provides professional care for patients following established standards, practices and office policies. Checks patients in, verifies insurance, files, and answers phones. Works under the direct supervision of the physician and/or office supervisor.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Answering multi-line telephones and directing calls to appropriate staff
- Checking e-fax and forwarding to corresponding department
- Insurance verification/Obtain authorizations for office visits
- Scheduling/rescheduling appointments for established patients and hospital follow-ups
- Completing patient consent forms-sending & reviewing
- Communicate with patients via patient portal/email.
- Check patient's in/out
- Collect co-payments and account balances
- Confirm patient appointments
- Maintain the waiting lobby clean.
- Must have at least 2 year of experience in a medical office setting.
- Self motivated
- Willing to learn new procedures and advance knowledge
- Able to adapt to ongoing changes
- Able to multitask
- Dependable
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
