As a Senior Executive of Ferrous Trading, you will be responsible for the strategic and efficient design, implementation, and management of ferrous trading programs and account management across the entire company. This position’s duties include overseeing pricing structures, product offerings, and ensuring professional and effective operations in the field of ferrous trading. Supervisory Responsibilities
- May hire, train, and oversee direct reports.
- May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of direct reports in the department.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Supervises personnel as needed or as directed.
- Assists in training personnel as needed or as directed.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive, providing recommendations for development, promotion, and salary adjustment as appropriate.
- Manage ferrous inventory levels and provide guidance to ferrous traders and operations personnel regarding inventory levels.
- Buy and sell ferrous commodities.
- Customer relationship management as related to the buying and selling of ferrous commodities.
- Provide pricing guidance to ferrous buyers.
- Understand indexes that ferrous commodities are traded on.
- Have a working knowledge of Sadoff internal policies, programs, procedures, production capabilities, controls and ERP systems.
- Review ferrous commodity contracts within the department.
- Lead and/or assist training buyers and ferrous yard personnel on ferrous commodities.
- Have a working understanding of ferrous market drivers and pricing trends.
- Extensive knowledge of domestic and overseas ferrous markets, consumers, suppliers, indexes and drivers that move markets.
