Payroll Specialist

Essential Functions:

• Accumulate payroll data from various departments and calculate hours worked when needed.
• Create payroll account codes and track.
• Review payroll data for accuracy, verify entered payroll data, and transmit payroll.
• Communicate with managers and resolve missed hour tracking and individual payroll issues.
• Review, update, and confirm employee change requests.
• Manage paid time off and leave tracking.
• Terminate employees in the payroll system.
• Audit benefit provider premiums collected and remittances paid.
• End-to-end payroll processing, including hourly, salaried, and union employees.
• Accurate entry and maintenance of employee records and payroll data.
• Generating payroll and financial reports for audits or management review.
• Reconcile payroll with accounting records and resolve discrepancies
• Address payroll errors or emergencies, such as issuing corrections or off-cycle payments.
• Analyze payroll data for trends in overtime, absenteeism, or compliance risks.

• Experience with Union Employees a plus
• A minimum of a Highschool diploma or GED equivalent and 3 years of successful payroll experience
• Proficient PC skills in CRM and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems- Produce Pro, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and common E Mail systems.
  
  

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday (Must be willing to work weekends and additional hours as needed to meet business demands)

Compensation:

• $22.00 - $27.00/hour
