Production Manager

Zing Recruiting is are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to oversee the Specimen Management department. This role focuses on ensuring the efficient processing of specimens and timely handoff to internal customers, with an emphasis on quality, compliance, and productivity. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and professional work environment.

Miramar, FL - Tuesday - Saturday 2:00am-10:30am

Up to $100k-$120k + 10% Bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Accessioning, Tech Ops, and Referrals to ensure efficient specimen processing.
• Monitor performance metrics and manage workflow from specimen drop-off to transfer to testing areas.
• Foster effective communication among area leaders and escalate issues promptly, particularly regarding equipment downtime.
• Identify and communicate potential cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Maintain a safe and ergonomically sound work environment.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and promote continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills while managing client concerns and team dynamics.
• Make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
• Organize and lead projects, delivering presentations to groups as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree desired.
• Experience: Proven leadership in managing people and projects; experience in a regulated industry is highly desirable.
• Skills:
• Detail-oriented and data-driven mindset.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a high-volume setting.
• Strong performance management and people development experience.
• High energy and positivity to navigate challenges.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
