In this role, you’ll do more than analyze budgets—you’ll be a collaborative business partner, helping the team forecast, strategize, and grow with confidence. You’ll collaborate closely with departments across the organization—from marketing to supply chain to sales—encouraging cross-functional dialogue and ensuring data-driven decisions are made at every level. You’ll bring precision and curiosity to everything from monthly reporting to ad hoc modeling, all while having a little fun along the way (we take our work seriously, but not ourselves).

Here are the details:
The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for all areas of financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting within the organization. This person will coordinate and participate in the design, testing, implementation, and review of complex manual and automated financial models. They will work cross-functionally to improve the profitability of each of our industry segments. This teammate will utilize knowledge and skills to make continuous business improvement recommendations to the senior leadership team.

The Senior Financial Analyst will engage heavily in person and on the phone (email is a given), and the person in this role will be a valuable part of the analytical engine of the business, driving better decision-making for our entire family of brands.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate and prepare financial reports, including an analysis of period results and both positive and negative trends.
  • Report and analyze all sales data, including margin and selling price deviations.
  • Report and analyze product/customer/segment profitability utilizing our data cubes and other data available within our systems. This includes ensuring the data in our systems is clean and maintained appropriately.
  • Analyze & forecast major company cost positions.
  • Provide analytical reviews on P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Analyze current processes for streamlining and automation opportunities.
  • Develop and present recommendations on cost savings and other initiatives that drive efficiency and reduce cycle time in report preparation.
  • Take an active role in the annual budgeting and strategic planning process.
  • Ensure all modeling is supported by best practices and be the go to person for CapEx investment analysis.
  • Prepare and analyze financial models to support decision-making related to acquisitions and integrations.
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of acquired entities post-integration.
  • Participate in due diligence during the acquisition process, evaluating the financial health of target companies.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited four-year college or university is required
  • Master’s degree or MBA from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Accounting or finance certification (CPA, CMA, FPA, etc.) preferred
  • 6 or more years of proven experience working in public or private company finance/accounting preferably with a manufacturing or distribution organization
  • 4+ years relevant Financial Analysis experience
  • Advanced MS Office skills that include strong Excel data management, specifically indexing, matching, lookups, pivot tables, and a data-basing mindset.
  • Experience with ERP software
