Maintenance Tech

Job Summary

A Maintenance Tech works with the Maintenance Manager and store teams to ensure upkeep and appearance of West Coast Self-Storage properties. This role involves performing various landscaping and maintenance duties to keep our properties functional, clean, and free from debris. This is an outdoor and labor-intensive job. It includes the use of tools, hardware, chemicals, and other items to complete the required work.

Day To Day For You

• Responds quickly to emergency maintenance situations
• Learns skills necessary to complete the job and uses outside sources for troubleshooting
• Is able to troubleshoot and brainstorm solutions to resolve maintenance issues
• Communicates project status and follow-up dates on schedule to district manager
• Prepares bids for projects to include time, materials, tools, and anything else necessary to complete the project
  
  

What We’d Like You To Have

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (required)
• Grounds keeping or maintenance experience (required)
• Experience with utilizing hand and power tools (requires)
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed
• Ability to work outdoors in urban and rural environments
• Ability to self-manage while working independently to complete team and company objectives
