Fork Lift Driver 2nd Shift

Doumak, Inc. is The Marshmallow Company. Founded in 1921, it is a leading producer of marshmallows sold under the Campfire and Fireside brands, and for private label. Our two Chicago-area facilities provide bagged regular and miniature marshmallows for distribution worldwide through wholesale, retail grocery, and food service channels.

SUMMARY: Handles material and product to maintain appropriate flow through production and warehouse areas. Performs warehouse work related to shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of products, parts, and materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate a hand truck, a gas or electric powered forklift or other equipment to load and unload, move, stack or prepare materials or products.
• Stack or pile materials in a safe manner at specified locations.
• Pull stored materials for orders and moves to production or shipping area.
• Document incoming and outgoing materials and supplies
• May utilize material handling equipment.
• Count items received or shipped and check against packing lists, recording any discrepancies.
• Load, unload, move, or store items according to delivery or routing documents, or supervisor instructions.
• Maintain a safe and clean working area.
• Help maintain and accurate inventory of finished goods and raw materials.
• Help in other areas as directed by supervisor
• Comply with all FDA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Safety OSHA regulations
• Must have knowledge and follow all Safety, Personnel Practices and Company Rules
• Work as a Team Member

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

• Prefer High School or GED
• 3+ year of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
• Valid forklift certification
• Abel to read and write English
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervisor
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-packed, deadline drive environment
• Must have a good understanding of basic math and pass company written test.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, bend, stoop, kneel, push, and pull.
• Must have a good attendance record.
• Able to identify colors.
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of ERP systems a plus
