The Education Director is responsible for the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs and curricula. Training of teaching and other staff, and supervision of teaching staff. Ensure compliance with Department of Education standards and Health Department regulations.

Education Director Qualifications
Education Directors overseeing 3-K and Pre-K must have all of the following credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field of study.
- Teaching license or certificate valid for services in early childhood or childhood grades pursuant to New York State Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) regulations.
- At least two years of lead teacher experience in a program for children less than six years of age.
- Speaking Spanish is helpful.
- These fields of study are required to be accompanied by 12 credits specific to Early Childhood Education.
