REPORTS TO: Deputy Program Manager of Submarine Programs
SUPERVISES: N/A
GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE: This Submarine Program Internship offers hands-on experience in one of the most advanced and mission-critical areas of naval defense—submarine and module production. The intern will support the Submarine Program by working alongside experienced program/project coordinators and logistics specialists to assist in the development and sustainment of submarine systems and modules.

The intern will support the Submarine Program by working alongside experienced program/project coordinators and logistics specialists to assist in the development and sustainment of submarine systems and modules.
Authorities / Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Supply Chain Management Team to support various aspects of the procurement and logistics process.
- Assist in day-to-day subcontract administration activities.
- Support program/project coordinators with planning, scheduling and training.
- Follow up with requesters and end users regarding purchase orders.
- Contribute to the development and tracking of Supplier performance metrics.
- Assist with material tracking and managing inventory levels and ensuring accuracy in inventory records.
- Process and track orders from suppliers or internal departments to ensure timely delivery.
- Provide cross-functional support to related departments as needed.
- Work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines when required.
- Other duties as assigned by Managers.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Material Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Currently maintaining a minimum 2.5 overall grade point average (4.0 scale)
- Preferred: Rising Junior or Senior
- Strong application of Excel skills including pivot tables, v-lookups, etc. to manipulate RFQ’s, quotations, presentations, etc.
- Microsoft Office at the intermediate skill level: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, Outlook; Access a plus
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Basic office machines, PC, copier\scanner, etc.

- 18 years of age or older at time of application
- Able to provide proof of US Person Status
- No felony convictions of Theft/Deception or Violent crimes within seven years from disposition date
- No felony convictions of Drug crimes within three years from disposition date
