Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain a robust pipeline of new and expanded business development opportunities, partnerships, and acquisitions that are aligned with Ascentria’s strategic goals.
- Analyze market forces, competitive trends, and market forces to identify emerging opportunities.
- Shepherd multiple business development projects from start to completion ensuring timely and successful outcomes.
- Create analyses with actionable recommendations for strategic and operational decision-making and present to the Executive Team, the Board of Directors and Finance Committee.
- Manage and lead internal growth and development proposal teams, managing the overall process leading to successful outcomes.
- Serve as the primary lead in contract negotiations, overseeing process from start to successful completion.
- Work effectively with a wide range of key stakeholders including advisors, attorneys, senior leadership and cross functional teams.
- Accountable for developing, managing, and successfully meeting annual fiscal revenue projections.
- Successfully utilize technology and related tools to promote successful outcomes.
- Support and promote data driven decision-making across all business units.
- Prepare and deliver compelling and successful presentations to effectively market services to customers, funders, and potential partners.
- Perform other duties as necessary to achieve the organization’s business development needs.
- BA/BS degree required and MBA preferred with minimum of 7-10 years of relevant business development experience including successfully leading acquisitions, partnerships and new service development.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple and simultaneous projects from start to completion in a fast paced environment.
- Experience working in entrepreneurial environments with an established track record of promoting cutting edge and innovative solutions.
- Strong decision maker who understands financial risks and identifies and understands issues, problems, and opportunities and determines appropriate course of action.
- Solid functional understanding of operations, marketing, finance, accounting, and sales.
- Strong logic, analytical and technical skills with a focus on results.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, across a broad range of internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Work experience with the nonprofit sector strongly preferred.
- Ability to engage with diverse collaborators and ability to be agile and flexible while maintaining project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated contract management and project management experience.
- Technically Proficient - proven ability to manage internal controls, financial reporting, and budgeting tools to insure data integrity.
- Exceptional Microsoft Office Skills.
- Willingness to work a flexible and busy schedule.
