This role requires a proactive and highly organized individual to contribute to the development and maintenance of efficient legal and operational processes for the company. This is a highly collaborative role dedicated to providing high-quality paralegal support, flexible and adaptable, with strong communication, computer, organization and writing skills. The Paralegal role will interact with and support the Litigation Department, with a primary focus on managing discovery, including evidence collection and organization, and the settlement process. Additional responsibilities will include recording and tracking data regarding the company’s litigation portfolio.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Discovery Management:
  • Reporting to one or more in-house attorneys, oversee company’s litigation discovery process.
  • Support the end-to-end discovery and e-discovery processing including evidence collection, coordination, organization, and response preparation.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of discovery and subpoena responses.
  • Conduct factual investigation to supplement discovery.
  • Work with outside counsel and e-discovery vendors to achieve discovery objectives.
  • Litigation Operations:
  • Develop and implement efficient processes to streamline litigation operations within the company.
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the legal and compliance functions.
  • Assist in overseeing the litigation settlement process, including developing internal procedures and master legal forms.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate and organized legal documentation.
  • Implement systems for efficient record-keeping and retrieval of relevant legal and operational information.

Required Skills, Knowledge And Abilities

  • Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in a relevant field; paralegal certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in a paralegal or legal operations role, preferably within litigation.
  • Superior organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Technical proficiency in legal software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with litigation management software and legal invoice software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent comprehension skills.
  • Demonstrated positive attitude with good judgment.
  • Trustworthy and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information and topics.

$60,000 - $80,000 an hour

Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 DOE
